Join the Cahaba Valley Health Care Junior Board

The Cahaba Valley Health Care Junior Board is made up of passionate young professionals, ages 21–30, who are committed to expanding access to free dental and vision care throughout Central Alabama.

​

Since its inception, the Junior Board has played a significant role in the growth and success of CVHC by increasing community awareness, supporting fundraising efforts, volunteering at events, and helping advance our mission. One of the Board's signature accomplishments is launching the Magic City Dessert Competition, which has quickly become a favorite annual event in Birmingham while raising critical funds to support our patients.

What Junior Board Members Do

​

Junior Board members are actively involved in the community by:

• Volunteering at dental and vision screening events, clinic days, and fundraisers.

• Serving as ambassadors for CVHC throughout the Birmingham community.

• Helping plan and execute the Magic City Dessert Competition.

• Supporting the mission of providing compassionate, high-quality care to uninsured individuals in need.

Membership Requirements

​

To serve on the CVHC Junior Board, members must:

• Be 21-30 years old and not currently enrolled as an undergraduate student.

• Pay $50 in annual membership dues. If this presents a financial hardship, please contact Morgan directly to discuss alternative options.

• Attend monthly Junior Board meetings (meeting dates will be provided upon acceptance). Members are allowed up to two excused absences during the year.

• Volunteer at two CVHC events, such as screening events, clinic days, or fundraisers.

• Assist with the planning of the Magic City Dessert Competition and attend:

  • Mandatory Setup: Friday, February 19, 2027 | 6:00-8:00 PM

  • Event Day: Saturday, February 20, 2027 | 4:00-10:00 PM
