Join Edwina as she gives a lecture on Hispanic Healthcare Written By Matt Ennis / 03/19/2010 / 0 Comments The UAB Global and Community Leadership Honors Program Lecture Series will present a lecture on health disparities in the Hispanic community by Edwina Taylor, founder of Cahaba Valley Health Care (CVHC), Wednesday, March 24. The lecture will be held from 3 to 3:50 p.m. in Heritage Hall Room 102, 1401 University Blvd. The event is free and open to the public. Call 205-934-8683 for more details.
Taylor will discuss the importance of collaboration in providing basic health care to under-served communities and ways in which the CVHC's work is lowering the barriers Hispanics face in receiving higher quality health care, including access and cultural insensitivity.
